Most large scale community challenges are best approached through informed community involvement. In January, 2008, Dr. Usdin formed swamplily llc to create the structure for large and complex community change initiatives.
The swamplily approach concentrates on collaborative and multi-sectoral strategies. Projects include strategic planning for New Orleans Disaster and Recovery Authority (the lead agency for the recovery efforts following Hurricane Katrina) and the organization of the nationally recognized New Orleans Coalition on Open Governance.
